Our crazy fun community members host fantastic all-you-can-eat dinner events each March in the Antietam High School Cafeteria. Tickets will be available at the door for eat-in or take-out.
POSTPONED – Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 AVCP has decided to postpone and reschedule the Sangria Social. Details about a rescheduled date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
ANTIETAM FARMERS’ AND ARTISTS’ MARKET
The 2020 Markets will be held on Mondays from 5-8 PM as follows:
May 4 & 18, June 8 & 22, July 6 & 20, August 10 & 24, September 21, October 19, November 16, and December 21.
The Antietam Valley Farmers’ and Artists’ Market (AVFAM) was created and organized to operate a local farmers market, offering consumers a wide range of locally grown produce and products made by the vendors themselves. Both vendors and shoppers alike will enjoy the beautiful park setting of the market: an open-air market when the weather is agreeable, and a large indoor covered space for when nature does not cooperate with us.
JULY 12 & 26, AUGUST 16 • MOVIE NIGHTS AT THE A-FIELD
The movie nights for 7/12, 7/22 and 8/16 are cancelled. If any events will be rescheduled information will be posted here. Stay safe.
Movie nights are held for community members at the A-field, with viewers bringing chairs and blankets for fun nights under the stars. The 2020 movies will be posted here when announced.
OCTOBER 10 • CARSONIA CRAFT BEER & WINE AMUSEMENT
The 6th Annual Carsonia Craft Beer & Wine Amusement will take place on Saturday, October 10 at the Antietam Valley Recreation & Community Center. Enthusiasts of breweries, vineyards, cideries and distilleries come together for an afternoon of tasting. In 2019, he CCBWA featured over 30 local and national craft beers, wines, and ciders, local food vendors, cigars and live music.
OCTOBER 24 • TRUNK OR TREAT/MOVIE NIGHT AT THE REC CENTER
Trunk or Treating will be held in the parking lot of the Rec Center for children in costume, followed by a family friendly move shown inside the Rec Center.
This is a free, bring your own chair event and is open to all.
DECEMBER 5 • TREE LIGHTING IN THE PARK
6:30 – Gather in the Recreation Building at Carsonia Park for hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies. Hear our Antietam choruses sing seasonal favorites.
7:15 – Follow the Path of Luminarias to the pavilion via the walkway next to the lake.
7:30 – Under the lights of the park gazebo, join together in singing songs of the season as we light the beautiful spruce tree growing by the lake and welcome a Certain Jolly Elf to our celebration!
